Chiefs' Jamaal Charles dealing with bruised knee

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles emerged from Sunday night's loss to the Denver Broncos with a knee bruise, head coach Andy Reid announced Monday.
Charles played through the injury despite some swelling in the knee, but his 35 rushing yards on 10 carries against the Broncos is not the kind of production he has become known for over the course of his seven-year career.
Reid expects Charles to be available for next weekend's game against the Arizona Cardinals, but the running back's status is certainly something to monitor heading in.
Charles remains one of the most explosive playmakers in the NFL, and he is certainly the Chiefs' key to success on the offensive side of the ball.
