PHOTO: NBA Christmas Day jerseys have player's first names
Just in case previous gimmicks like nickname jerseys and sleeved jerseys weren't enough, the NBA has a new uniform gimmick for Christmas Day.
The 10 teams that square off on Dec. 25 will wear jerseys that not only feature player names below the jersey number instead of above it, but the players will be identified by their first name rather than their last.
If that sounds weird, well, it is. And it looks even weirder:

As a reminder, here are the Christmas Day matchups:
- Washington at New York
- Oklahoma City at San Antonio
- Cleveland at Miami
- Los Angeles Lakers at Chicago
- Golden State at Los Angeles Clippers
While that lineup means there will be some unique jerseys like LeBron, Dwyane, Pablo and Kobe, it also means players will be identified as John, Tim, and Ed.
But hey, they're different, so if jerseys are your thing, get after it.
