Georgia's Chris Conley sprains MCL, may not play vs. Arkansas

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Georgia wide receiver Chris Conley sprained his MCL against Missouri and is questionable to play against Arkansas on Saturday.

Coach Mark Richt told reporters he didn't know how severe the injury was, while the Macon Telegraph called the sprain "essentially a bruise."

Conley briefly returned to the Bulldogs' 34-0 win over Missouri, but sat out the rest of the game.

The senior receiver hasn't lived up to expectations this year as a projected NFL draft pick. Last year he had 45 receptions for 651 yards and four touchdowns, but with half the season in the book in 2014 he's projected to finish with just 28 catches for 416 yards.

Conley has yet to crack the five-catch or 60-yard mark in a single game yet, a result of the ferocious rushing attack the Georgia offense has employed.

His projected totals are likely to decrease if this latest injury keeps Conley out Saturday.
