The New York Giants got some good news regarding offensive guard Geoff Schwartz's injured toe.
Schwartz won't need surgery for the dislocation, the team announced, but will remain in a walking boot for roughly 7-10 days.
“This is just a minor setback,” Schwartz said. “I plan on attacking the rehab program so I can get back on the field as soon as possible with my teammates and help us win games.”
The team originally feared Schwartz might be lost for the season, but he will be evaluated on a week-to-week basis once the walking boot comes off.
