Davis, the 13-year-old girl that is taking the Little League World Series by storm, tossed a two-hit shutout for her Taney Dragons squad on Friday afternoon, much to the delight of Trout and his teammates.
"Did you see that?" Trout asked MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez. "That was pretty cool, just going out there and competing. We were definitely watching in the clubhouse. She was throwing everything. She was blowing the heater by people, got that nice breaking ball. It was fun to watch."
Trout caught wind of Davis, who has now thrown back-to-back shutouts, via social media.
