Crystal Palace signs Fraizer Campbell to 3-year contract on transfer from Cardiff City

Looking to add some scoring ability ahead of the quickly-approaching 2014-15 campaign, Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has dipped into the transfer market and plucked a striker away from one of the Premier League's relegated clubs of last season.

While the club did not reveal the fee paid for the 26-year-old Englishman, the BBC reported earlier in the week that his buy-out clause was set at £900,000.

Despite scoring nine goals in all competitions last season with a dysfunctional Cardiff City side - including a memorable brace against Manchester City early in the year - Campbell was unable to help his former side stave off relegation, and will now be hoping that his new team doesn't suffer the same fate as his old one.
