Considering Derrick Rose's checkered injury history, it's no surprise that the Chicago Bulls are looking for depth at point guard.
Hearing Bulls, in addition to their interest in Aaron Brooks, have also explored reacquiring Tom Thibodeau fave John Lucas III for backcourt

Both Aaron Brooks and John Lucas III fit similar profiles, as undersized guards who love to shoot. Lucas served as a veteran locker room presence with the Utah Jazz last summer, averaging 3.8 points per game, while Brooks split time between Houston and Denver, averaging nine points.
With Rose and Kirk Hinrich, the Bulls have the makings of a strong starting backcourt. However, if either goes down, the Bulls need depth, which either Brooks or Lucas can provide.
