Defensive lineman Charles Mosley, an incoming freshman at Tennessee, was injured in an automobile accident Sunday while traveling with his family. He underwent surgery later that night at a Memphis hospital to repair a broken tibia, ESPN reports.
A nursing supervisor at Regional One Health said Monday that Mosley was hospitalized and "in good condition."
"While we are awaiting additional details, we are hopeful that he will be released from the hospital by the end of the week," said Tennessee spokesman Jimmy Stanton. "We have no definite word on recovery time at this point."
The 6-foot-5, 362-pound tackle was a three-star recruit in the Vols' 2014 class.
