Neymar is expected to make a full recovery after pulling out of the World Cup with a broken vertebrae. He was fouled by Colombia's Juan Zuniga, and while he was carried off the pitch in tears on a stretcher, he apparently thought that he was paralyzed.

“He said: ‘I can’t feel my legs’,” Brazil manager Luiz Felipe Scolari said to Marca, via the Guardian, when discussion the conversation between Marcelo and Neymar as he waited for medical attention.

“Marcelo was scared and called the doctor on but the doctor couldn’t get on in the confusion. It was a big shock, the image of Neymar being stretchered off to the helicopter, in difficulty, crying.”

Brazil plays Germany on Tuesday in the semifinal, but Neymar needs four to six weeks to recover from his injury.
