Titans' Whitehurst lied about losing jersey number in arm wrestling contest
Melina Vastola / USA TODAY Sports
Tennessee Titans backup quarterback Charlie Whitehurst was fibbing when he announced on his Instagram account that he lost his No. 6 to punter Brett Kern in an arm-wrestling competition.
The lie was uncovered by Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean, who reports that Whitehurst "made the whole thing up."
As for that other story Whitehurst told about renting a cabin during the Titans' minicamp? Wyatt says that one is, in fact, true.
