Stephan El Shaarawy's agent on his client's future: 'Let's see what Milan decide'

Stephan El Shaarawy's agent says the Egyptian-born Italian attacker may leave AC Milan this summer given the significant changeover that is expected to take place at the club.

The 21-year-old, who scored 16 goals last season, was restricted to just six games this year after falling victim to a fractured foot, and was unable to help the Rossoneri avoid a terribly disappointing 8th place finish in Serie A.

With the club expected to make wholesale changes to rectify a multitude of issues with their squad, El Shaarawy could be a casualty of the shakeup.

"Let's see what Milan have in mind for the transfer market," said Manuel El Shaarawy to Milannews.it.

"Stephan is certainly a big player and he wants to stay at Milan, but there are many changes being made, starting with who the coach is going to be. We'll see.

"He's always been a Milan fan and his intention is to stay, but we've got to evaluate the situation. Let's see what Milan decide."

It was reported at roughly this time last year that Milan rejected an offer of "more than €30 million" for El Shaarawy's services.

The club would be lucky to get anything in the same vicinity at this point, and would almost certainly allow the promising youngster to move on should any comparable offer come in this summer.
