David Gilliland cleared to race following Kansas wreck

It was a scary wreck for Front Row Motorsports’ David Gilliland during last Saturday’s 5-Hour Energy 400 at Kansas Speedway. With 82 laps to go, AJ Allmendinger got loose, and clipped the rear end of Justin Allgaier’s car, sending him straight towards David Gilliland. See the video below:
Thankfully, all drivers were okay after the wreck.
Gilliland sent out a tweet, stating that he was medically cleared to race in this weekend’s Sprint Showdown:
Just got the ALL GOOD to race! Time to go racing again!!!!! Big credit to NASCAR and the safety of our sport!!!

Gilliland will try and finish 1st or 2nd in the Sprint Showdown on Friday night, to be eligible for the Sprint All-Star Race on Saturday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
