The new terms of the restructured deal have not yet been released.
Schaub's 2014 base salary was previously $10 million with a cap hit of $10,937,500. Those numbers were slated to increase to $12.5 million and $13.5 million respectively in 2015 as part of his four-year, $62 million deal he had with the Texans.
The Raiders still have plenty of cap room and the restructured deal could be a sign Oakland will continue to spend on free agents to bolster its roster for next season.
