Sabres F Linus Omark placed on unconditional waivers, likely to have contract terminated

The Buffalo Sabres placed Swedish forward and shootout specialist Linus Omark on unconditional waivers Monday, presumably for the purposes of mutually terminating his contract. 

The skilled, undersized forward has struggled to remain in the National Hockey League and has had drama filled tenures with both the Edmonton Oilers and the Buffalo Sabres.
