Report: Jets targeting free agent WRs Maclin, Sanders
The New York Jets' passing attack was a tremendous disappointment in 2013. Rookie quarterback Geno Smith showed a few flashes of potential, but far too often he looked like a player with no one to throw to.
The Jets know they have to upgrade Smith's arsenal of weapons in 2014, and the team is reportedly already making plans to dip into free agency to sign a receiver -- or two.
Impending free agents Jeremy Maclin of the Philadelphia Eagles and Emmanuel Sanders of the Pittsburgh Steelers are both on the Jets' radar, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
Interestingly, Mehta mentions that the Jets could try to sign both players.
The Jets reportedly also have interest in Eric Decker, but Mehta says the Jets aren't likely to pay the large price tag he's expected to demand.
