BK Racing signs rookies Alex Bowman and Ryan Truex for 2014’s Cup season

BK Racing announced yesterday that they’ve signed both Alex Bowman and Ryan Truex to drive for them this season in the No. 23and the No. 83 BK Racing Toyota Camry’s. Both drivers will also be competing for the Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors in an already populated list.

Bowman will drive the No. 23 (previously known as the #93) car, and Truex will wheel the No. 83 Toyota Camry. Dave Winston will serve as crew chief for Bowman, and Dale Ferguson will crew chief for Truex.

Both drivers will be vying for a spot in the Daytona 500. Newly announced sponsor Borla Exhaust will be on board as primary sponsors for the season premiere in Daytona, but further sponsorship has not been announcement.

Bowman is coming off his rookie season in the Nationwide Series, where he won two poles and finished 11th in points. Truex has only four starts combined (3 in Cup, 1 in the Truck Series)
