Ivory suffered a cracked rip and a hip pointer on his second to last carry of Sunday's game against the Dolphins, according to Kimberley Martin of NY Newsday.
Analysis:
The injuries certainly clarify why Ivory finished with only five carries Sunday, which he turned into 19 yards. Bilal Powell took over the Jets' backfield after Ivory went down, rushing for 76 yards on 21 carries. Ivory's 2013 season ends with 833 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 182 carries, along with two catches on seven targets for 10 receiving yards. He's signed for another two years and could very well be the Jets' starting running back in 2014 based on his solid showing this year.
