Suns' Williams, Pelicans' Alvarado ejected after throwing punches
Phoenix Suns center Mark Williams and New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado were ejected from Saturday's matchup after throwing punches at one another.
The incident occurred late in the third quarter after Williams shoved Alvarado from behind as the latter protested a foul call.
Alvarado immediately confronted Williams, which sparked a brief scuffle between the two.
The 6-foot floor general connected with a right-handed punch before coaches and players from each side rushed in to prevent the situation from escalating further.
