GIF - Flyers' F Max Talbot boarded by Benoit Pouliot
On Thursday night during the Philadelphia Flyers' 2-1 victory over the moribund New York Rangers, winger Benoit Pouliot was ejected for boarding Flyers checker Max Talbot.
Benoit was assessed a major penalty for boarding in addition to a game misconduct for the hit. Here are a couple of .gifs of the incident via TSN.com:
The result of the hit was frightening - though Talbot did manage to return to action for the third period. But was the intent there? For what it's worth, Talbot himself doesn't think so:
Talbot on Pouliot hit: "I can’t really skate that well, so I may have stumbled on my feet. I didn’t feel like I got pushed or anything."
