Alexander Albon: Struggles in Spain
Albon was forced to retire from the Spanish Grand Prix F1 race after 27 laps at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday.
Analysis:
Albon failed to reach Q3 for the first time since the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix but was still within striking distance for points as he lined up 11th on the grid. However, things went from bad to worse, as he got a slow start off the line as the lights went out and also suffered a broken wing on the opening turn of the grand prix. Albon tried to recover but suffered yet another broken wing and incurred a 10-second penalty in a battle with Liam Lawson around Lap 25. After serving the penalty, the team opted to retire the car, officially ending his four-race point streak.
