Wild bring back Johansson on 1-year, $800K deal

The Minnesota Wild announced Monday they've re-signed veteran winger Marcus Johansson to a one-year, $800,000 contract.
Johansson recorded 11 goals and 23 assists in 72 games last season while averaging 16:23 per contest. He added a pair of assists in five playoff games.
The 34-year-old has spent parts of four seasons with the Wild during his 15-year career. He's averaged 15 goals and 28 assists per 82 games in his career.
Gustav Nyquist, Justin Brazeau, and Jon Merrill are the team's top remaining pending unrestricted free agents. Marco Rossi, who the Wild have received calls about, and Declan Chisholm are the club's top pending restricted free agents. Minnesota has approximately $15.7 million in cap space.
