Alex Bowman: Engine Failure

Bowman suffered an engine failure and finished 37th in the Food City 500 NASAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

Bowman would lead the opening 39 laps from the drop of the green flag but would then give way to Kyle Larson. He would race among the Top 10 until lap 300 when he'd radio in to his team with engine problems. Eventually, Bowman would take the No. 48 Chevrolet to the garage on lap 348 and retire for the afternoon with an engine failure. It was just his first DNF of the season.
