Report: D Steve Montador retires

33-year old defenseman Steve Montador has decided to retire, according to Igor Eronko of Sports.ru.

Montador had appeared in 11 games for Medvescak this season, registering three assists, a +3 rating and 33 penalty minutes.

Montador scored 33 goals and 98 assists in 571 career NHL games with the Calgary Flames, Florida Panthers, Anaheim Ducks, Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres and Chicago Blackhawks.
