Mariners' Crawford to miss 4-6 weeks with hand fracture

The Seattle Mariners placed shortstop J.P. Crawford on the injured list with a right hand fracture, the team announced Tuesday.

Crawford suffered a hairline fracture in his right pinky finger when he was hit by a pitch during Monday's game. He's expected to miss four-to-six weeks, general manager Justin Hollander said Wednesday, according to the Seattle Times' Ryan Divish.

Crawford was in obvious pain after being hit by Tyler Anderson's first-inning pitch. He stayed in the game to run the bases but was replaced at shortstop by Dylan Moore to start the top of the second.

The 29-year-old is hitting .204/.299/.347 with nine homers and 32 RBIs in 77 games for Seattle this season.
