Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce is now without a Super Bowl ring after losing the prized possession during a recent visit to the University of Cincinnati.

Kelce and younger brother Travis returned to their alma mater to host a live taping of their "New Heights" podcast and the inaugural Great Lombaby Games, in which UC students faced off in a variety of challenges. One of the challenges involved contestants digging through inflatable pools filled with Skyline Chili's three-way chili dish in search of socks containing various rings, including Kelce's championship bling.

As Kelce explained on Wednesday's podcast episode, his Super Bowl ring went missing during the event and has yet to be uncovered.

"We have still yet to find it," Jason said. "All of this stuff has been thrown away, so I think we can safely assume that my Super Bowl ring is now in a landfill someplace in the Cincinnati Tri-State area."

Jason has since submitted an insurance claim for the missing ring and plans to have a new one made, though he has some doubts about whether he'll be reimbursed for it.

"The only thing I can think of is at some point, the sock got kicked out of the three-way and it made its way out of the pool and that it was thrown away in some shape or form. But yes, the Super Bowl ring is officially gone," he said. "We've already put the insurance claim in, which I think the insurance company may have some things to say about whether they're gonna cover that."

Jason, who retired in March after 13 seasons in the NFL, won the ring as part of the Eagles team that defeated the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII.
