Barkley wants to attend Bulls' 'uncomfortable' Ring of Honor ceremony
Charles Barkley hopes to have a front-row seat when the Chicago Bulls pay tribute to the 1995-96 championship team at the organization's inaugural Ring of Honor ceremony next month.
While appearing on "The Dan Patrick Show" on Wednesday, Barkley said he wants to be on hand for what he expects will be an "uncomfortable" meeting between former teammates Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.
"I'm gonna have to go to Chicago that day just to see it," Barkley said. "I mean, you talk about weirdest, uncomfortable ... uncomfortable won't do it justice.
"First of all, nobody's going to watch the Warriors or the Bulls - let's get that out the way. Nobody's going to see the Warriors against the Bulls, but everybody's gonna have their cameras focused on those guys. I can't wait to go to this."
Barkley couldn't believe that the #Bulls are inducting Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Phil Jackson, and others into the ring of honor all on the same night.

Jordan and Pippen won six NBA titles during their time together on the Bulls, but their relationship has soured in recent years. Appearing on the "Gimme the Hot Sauce" podcast with former teammate Stacey King in May, Pippen described Jordan as a "horrible player" who was "horrible to play with."
Barkley has also had his own issues with Jordan dating back to when he criticized his former friend's management of the Charlotte Hornets over a decade ago. However, he said he hopes the two can make amends one day.
The Bulls' Ring of Honor ceremony will take place at halftime of the team's Jan. 12 game against the Golden State Warriors. Jordan, Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Steve Kerr, and Phil Jackson are among the individuals who will be honored during the ceremony.
