Free-agent point guard John Wall privately worked out Sunday in Las Vegas in front of teams including the Boston Celtics and Portland Trail Blazers, The Athletic's Kelly Iko reports.

The five-time All-Star apparently isn't the only veteran auditioning for a role this coming season. Experienced guard Dion Waiters and former Sacramento Kings and Trail Blazers big man Harry Giles III are also hosting private workouts, their agent Daniel Hazan told TNT's Chris Haynes.

Of the three, Wall boasts the most recent NBA appearance. He played 34 contests with the Los Angeles Clippers last season, making three starts and averaging 11.4 points, 5.2 assists, and 2.7 rebounds in 22.2 minutes per game. The Clippers shipped Wall to the Rockets in a three-team deal at the February trade deadline, and Houston waived the 32-year-old soon after acquiring him. He didn't play again for the rest of the season.

Over 11 NBA campaigns, Wall owns career averages of 18.7 points, 8.9 assists, and 4.2 rebounds across 647 games.

Waiters last played during the 2019-20 campaign, which the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted. He played three games for the Miami Heat in January 2020 before resurfacing in the Walt Disney World bubble with the Los Angeles Lakers, suiting up in five playoff contests for the club.

Giles hasn't played in the league since a 38-game stint with the Blazers in 2020-21. The former No. 1 high school recruit in the nation was with the Clippers' G League affiliate in 2021-22 but had his contract terminated in January 2022 after suffering an undisclosed season-ending injury.
