Lopez dominates Taylor to win junior welterweight title
Teofimo Lopez defeated Josh Taylor via unanimous decision to win the WBO junior welterweight title at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday.
The defeat is the first of Taylor's career after he entered the 12-round fight with a 19-0 record.
Lopez (19-1-0, 13 KOs) won the bout 115-113, 115-113, and 117-111 on the scorecards.

The 32-year-old Taylor, who was at one point the undisputed junior welterweight champion, returned to the ring for the first time since his controversial split-decision victory over Jack Catterall in February 2022.
