Morris played sparingly for the Longhorns last season, averaging 4.6 points in 11.7 minutes over 38 appearances. The 6-foot-3 guard showed flashes of his potential as a freshman, most notably putting up a 25-point performance against Louisiana.
Kansas was among the schools Morris originally considered. The former five-star recruit and McDonald's All-American could play an immediate role for the Jayhawks with Gradey Dick off to the NBA. Bill Self's squad also added Towson sharpshooter Nicolas Timberlake earlier this month.
Kansas was unable to defend its national title last season, falling in the Round of 32 to Arkansas.
