Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and Haslam Sports Group are in serious talks to purchase Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry's stake in the NBA franchise, sources told Eric Nehm, Shams Charania, and Sam Amick of The Athletic.
Haslam reportedly emerged as a potential buyer after billionaire mortgage lender Mat Ishbia purchased Robert Sarver's majority stake in the Phoenix Suns.
Haslam would join the Bucks' current ownership group led by Wes Edens.
Edens and Lasry assumed control of Milwaukee from Herb Kohl nearly a decade ago. The Bucks have opened a new arena and won an NBA championship during that span.
Haslam also owns Major League Soccer's Columbus Crew.
