Mixon: NFL selling tickets to potential Chiefs-Bills game is 'disrespectful'
Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon isn't happy that the NFL is already selling tickets to a potential AFC title game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.
Asked Wednesday if he's using the NFL's decision as motivation, Mixon said he feels the league is disrespecting the Bengals.
"To be honest, it's disrespectful. But we're not worried about that shit," Mixon told Marshall Kramsky of WCPO. "Like I said, we got a game to play on Sunday, right? So you can't count us out. ... We're gonna go out there on Sunday, and we're gonna do what the hell we got to do to come back with that dub. And then we're gonna see what they're talking about."
The NFL announced Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta as the neutral site for a potential Chiefs-Bills AFC Championship Game following the cancellation of the Week 17 matchup between Buffalo and the Bengals.
Tickets to the neutral site contest were first made available Wednesday to season-ticket holders. Fans can purchase tickets Friday through presale, with the remainder going on sale Monday should the game be confirmed.
The Bengals face the Bills on the road Sunday in the divisional round.
