Report: Cousins expected to work out for Lakers
Four-time All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins is expected to work out for the Los Angeles Lakers next week, sources told Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes.
Cousins has been working out six days a week in Las Vegas, Haynes adds. Free agents can be signed to 10-day contracts as of Thursday.
The 32-year-old played 17 games last season for the Milwaukee Bucks and 31 for the Denver Nuggets. He averaged nine points and 5.6 rebounds over 48 total contests.
Cousins spent his first six seasons with the Sacramento Kings, where he earned three All-Star nods. He was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans in February 2017, and he's also spent time with the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, and Los Angeles Clippers.
He hasn't played more than 48 games in a season since tearing his ACL and missing the entire 2019-20 campaign.
