New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram entered the NBA's concussion protocol, the team announced Monday.

Ingram left in the first quarter of Sunday's contest against the Utah Jazz after colliding with teammate Naji Marshall.

Ingram's recovery timeline will be based on how quickly he progresses through the league's return-to-participation process, which begins no earlier than 24 hours from the time of injury.

The former No. 2 overall pick was off to a solid start, averaging 22 points, 5.7 boards, four assists, and 1.3 steals through the first three games of the 2022-23 campaign.

Meanwhile, co-star Zion Williamson is listed as questionable for Tuesday's contest against the Dallas Mavericks due to a hip injury.
