Le'Veon Bell, Uriah Hall want to face Jake Paul after pro boxing debuts
Former NFL running back Le'Veon Bell and ex-UFC fighter Uriah Hall have Jake Paul in their sights for a future boxing match.
Bell and Hall both expressed interest in fighting Paul during a press conference Thursday to promote their Oct. 29 bout, which will mark their debuts as professional boxers.
"Obviously, I gotta handle business with Uriah, but at some point, yeah. Absolutely," Bell said when asked if he views his upcoming fight as a bridge to face Paul, per Showtime Boxing.
Hall agreed: "That's the only reason why I'm here, man," he said. "I told you, I was like, 'Give me a reason.' That was it. I'm a competitor."
For Bell, facing Paul isn't the only goal he has set for himself as a boxer.
"I want to be the best that I can possibly be and reach the highest level I possibly can," he said. "Obviously, I know it's going to take a lot of hard work and dedication and I plan on doing that."
He added: "I know the feeling of winning big games and playoff games, but never won a Super Bowl. I've never won, obviously, a belt, so I think if I was to win a world title or something like that, obviously, that feeling would kill any other feeling I ever had in football."
Bell, 30, competed in his first exhibition boxing match in September, knocking out fellow former running back Adrian Peterson in the fifth round.
Hall, 38, announced his retirement from mixed martial arts in August after compiling a 17-11 record.
