Tiger Woods will not compete at the upcoming U.S. Open, he announced Tuesday.

The tournament is set for June 16-19 at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Woods participated at the PGA Championship in May and even made the cut, but he withdrew before the final round after laboring through a 9-over 79 on moving day.

The PGA Championship was Woods' second competitive tournament since he nearly lost his leg in a car accident in February 2021. He made his return at the 2022 Masters, where he made the cut but finished 47th.
