Utah Jazz forward Juancho Hernangomez will make his acting debut later this year, starring alongside Adam Sandler in the LeBron James-produced movie "Hustle."

Hernangomez described filming the movie as a "once-in-a-lifetime experience" and revealed that he now counts Sandler as a close friend.

"After the movie, we are really close," Hernangomez said after the Jazz's win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday, according to Ryan Miller of KSL.com. "When I go to L.A., we go play golf together, or I go to his home. … He's just a normal guy. He just loves to have fun. He's so funny. He's so low-key. I love his energy. ... Together, we did a great job."

"I am so glad I did it," Hernangomez added. "You guys will see it in June. I mean, it was really fun."

Releasing June 10, "Hustle" stars Sandler as a basketball scout who recruits an overseas player (Hernangomez) to play in the NBA. The film features several NBA players, including Kyle Lowry, Anthony Edwards, Trae Young, Boban Marjanovic, and Jordan Clarkson.
