Hochevar was charged with the blown save and the loss after giving up two runs on two hits and a walk in one inning against the Angels on Friday.

Hochevar has actually been quite effective out of the bullpen and has a 2.03 ERA and 18:4 K:BB ratio over 17.1 innings this season. But it just wasn't his night in this one, as he gave up a game-tying home run to Chris Iannetta in the sixth and then walked Mike Trout to open the seventh. He was replaced by Aaron Crow, who allowed Trout to come around and score. With Kelvin Herrera recently demoted to Triple-A, the team is looking for someone to step up and take over eighth-inning duties. Should Hochevar earn that spot, he could see an increase in value for leagues that count holds.
