Poirier-Oliveira title fight booked for UFC 269
The lightweight title will be part of the final UFC pay-per-view of 2021.
Champion Charles Oliveira's first title defense against No. 1 contender Dustin Poirier has been booked for UFC 269 on Dec. 11, Poirier's representatives told ESPN's Brett Okamoto.
Poirier also seemingly confirmed the bout on Twitter:

Oliveira won the lightweight title last May after beating Michael Chandler by TKO. The 31-year-old Brazilian is currently on a nine-fight win streak, with his last defeat coming back in 2017.
Poirier, a former interim UFC lightweight champion, is looking to earn the title for the first time in what will be his second shot at an undisputed UFC championship.
The 32-year-old has fought twice this year, beating Conor McGregor on both occasions. Their latest bout took place in July and ended with McGregor suffering a serious leg injury in the opening round.
