Watch: Raiders edge Ravens after wild OT sequence

The Las Vegas Raiders and Baltimore Ravens gave the NFL an early candidate for game of the year after an absurd back-and-forth sequence in overtime that resulted in a 33-27 Raiders victory on Monday Night Football.

Las Vegas rallied to score 17 points in the fourth quarter, including a career-long 55-yard field goal by Daniel Carlson with seven seconds left, to send the game to overtime. However, the madness was just beginning.

Bryan Edwards appeared to have sealed a quick victory in the extra session, stretching over the goal line following a downfield heave from Derek Carr. However, the Raiders' celebration was short-lived as Edwards was ruled to be just short of the end zone.

The Raiders, still in a position to end it, were then pushed back for a false start. Just a few plays later, Carr was picked off in the end zone after his pass attempt went through his target's hands and bounced off a Ravens defensive back before landing in Anthony Averett's arms.

With the Ravens needing just a field goal to win, the home crowd at Allegiant Stadium held its collective breath in search of a defensive stand. But to the fans' excitement, they got an even better surprise in the form of a Carl Nassib strip sack, which the Raiders recovered.

Already in field-goal range, the Raiders sent out Carlson on second down for a chance to win it, but an untimely delay of game call pushed them back 5 yards. The Ravens decided to gamble on the following play, sending the house after Carr, but the Las Vegas quarterback cashed in on the opposition's mistake, connecting with a wide-open Zay Jones for a walk-off, 31-yard touchdown.

It was a fitting conclusion for the Raiders faithful, who attended Allegiant Stadium for the first time Monday.
