The Brooklyn Nets agreed to a deal with forward Paul Millsap, the veteran's agent told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The four-time All-Star was linked to multiple teams before signing with the Nets, including the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, and Chicago Bulls.

Millsap spent the previous four seasons with the Denver Nuggets, where his production has dropped. The 36-year-old averaged nine points, 4.7 boards, and 0.9 steals over 56 appearances in 2020-21 as he transitioned into a reserve role.

However, Millsap remains an effective defender. Last season, he registered a steal percentage of 2.2% and block percentage of 3%, which are around his career average.

Brooklyn ranked 22nd in defensive efficiency and 27th in steals per game during the 2020-21 campaign.

Millsap provides the Nets with some additional frontcourt depth after the departure of Jeff Green in free agency.
