Report: Paul getting $690K, Askren earning $500K for boxing match
Jake Paul and Ben Askren will each take home no less than half a million dollars after Saturday's boxing match in Atlanta.
Paul's base salary for the eight-round bout at Triller Fight Club is set at $690,000, while Askren will earn $500,000, according to MMA Fighting's Alexander K. Lee and Steven Marrocco.
It's unclear what percentage of money Paul and Askren will receive from pay-per-view earnings.
Triller, a video-making and social networking service, is slated to host its second event after promoting an exhibition match between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. in November. Paul served as the event's co-headliner, defeating former NBA player Nate Robinson by second-round knockout.
Paul, a YouTube star, entered the boxing world in 2020 and has put together a 2-0 professional record.
Askren is a former UFC fighter, Bellator champion, and Olympic wrestler who will be making his boxing debut against Paul. Askren retired from mixed martial arts in 2019.
