The Orlando Magic traded franchise center Nikola Vucevic and forward Al-Farouq Aminu to the Chicago Bulls, the team announced Thursday.

In return, the Magic receive big man Wendell Carter Jr., wing Otto Porter Jr., and a pair of first-round selections. The picks are reportedly for the 2021 and 2023 drafts, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Vucevic, the Magic's longest-tenured active player, has blossomed into an All-Star-caliber big man in recent years. He's capable of spreading the floor with his jump shot, facilitating from the elbow, and backstopping the defense up the middle.

Over the past three seasons, the 30-year-old Montenegrin has averaged 21.3 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, shooting 49.5% from the floor overall and 37% on over four 3-pointers per contest. He was named an All-Star in 2019 and 2021.

Vucevic is under team control through the end of the 2022-23 campaign. He'll earn $24 million and $22 million over the next two years of his deal. Aminu, also 30, is under contract through 2022. The veteran roleplayer will make $10.2 million next season.

In Carter, the Magic receive a frontcourt prospect less than three years removed from his selection at No. 7 overall. The 6-foot-10 Duke product has averaged 10.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and one block in 26.5 minutes per game over 119 career appearances. He'll be eligible for a long-term extension this summer.

Porter, 27, is a solid 3-and-D roleplayer. He's largely failed to live up to the four-year, $106.5-million deal he signed with the Washington Wizards prior to the 2017-18 season but will hit unrestricted free agency this summer.
