P.J. Tucker could soon be on his way out of Houston.

Tucker was a healthy scratch for the Rockets' 125-105 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Thursday, and Houston head coach Stephen Silas revealed afterward that the nine-year veteran and the organization are working on a solution to part ways.

Silas added that Tucker decided not to play and isn't expected to return to the team, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Tim MacMahon. Tucker reportedly prefers to sit out ahead of the March 25 trade deadline.

"We're going to try to figure out something that works for him and works for us as far as him not being on the team anymore," Silas said. "I was under the assumption that he was going to be playing tonight, and he didn't play. That was disappointing, but there's no secret that it's been a rough year."

Wojnarowski and MacMahon also reported following the game - the Rockets' 14th consecutive loss - that Tucker is frustrated he's yet to be traded to a contender. The 35-year-old was reportedly upset with Houston's front office about his contract situation last season.

Tucker is in the final campaign of a four-year, $32-million contract. He's averaging only 4.4 points and 4.6 boards over 32 appearances this season, but trade suitors still covet his defensive versatility.

The Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets, and Miami Heat are reportedly among the teams that have expressed interest in Tucker.
