The Jacksonville Jaguars are already feeling the effects of their new head coaching hire.
Jacksonville's ticket department reported that 50% of its season-ticket deposits came in following the hiring of Urban Meyer on Thursday and said sales are eight times ahead in pace compared to previous campaigns, according to team reporter Ashlyn Sullivan.
Meyer compiled a 187-32 record over 17 college football seasons with Bowling Green, Utah, Florida, and Ohio State before retiring in 2018 due to health issues.
A new head coach isn't the only reason for Jaguars fans to be excited. The team also owns the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and is expected to select Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
