Any team looking to sign George Springer will have to dish out some serious dough.

The star outfielder is asking for well over $150 million in free agency, sources told Andy Martino of SNY.

Excel Sports Management, who represents the free-agent slugger, didn't comment on Springer's asking price when contacted, Martino noted.

The Toronto Blue Jays and New York Mets are the finalists to sign the 2017 World Series MVP, a source told Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News.

Both teams remain engaged with Springer's representatives, according to Martino.

The three-time All-Star is reportedly expected to sign with one of the clubs in January.

Springer, who's won two Silver Slugger Awards, hit a career-high 39 home runs in 2019. The 31-year-old accrued an .852 OPS over seven years with the Houston Astros.
