Oklahoma added to its impressive class of 2021 early Wednesday as four-star offensive tackle Savion Byrd announced on CBS Sports HQ that he is signing with the Sooners.

The Texas native is the 27th overall recruit and third-ranked prospect in the state, according to the ESPN 300.

Byrd is a four-star prospect who has earned invites to high school all-star events, the Polynesian Bowl, and the Under Armour All-America Game.

The 6-foot-5, 265-pound tackle becomes the ninth ESPN 300 prospect in his class to commit to head coach Lincoln Riley's program. Byrd joins an impressive haul that features quarterback Caleb Williams, wide receiver Mario Williams Jr., and athlete Ethan Downs.

Oklahoma will attempt to carry its momentum into the weekend when it squares off against Iowa State in the Big 12 championship game. The Sooners have won the league title in consecutive years dating back to 2017.
