The Philadelphia 76ers traded Josh Richardson and the No. 36 pick in the 2020 draft to the Dallas Mavericks for Seth Curry, the teams announced Thursday.
The 76ers drafted Colorado center Tyler Bey on behalf of the Mavericks with the 36th selection.
In Richardson, Dallas gains a key defensive presence on the wing to pair with franchise cornerstones Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. The 27-year-old averaged 13.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in 55 appearances last season.
Meanwhile, the 76ers' addition of Curry provides the team with a proven floor spacer. He shot a blistering 45.2% from 3-point range with the Mavericks in 64 games.
