With the No. 30 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics have selected TCU senior Desmond Bane, who will be traded to the Memphis Grizzlies, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Bane had a fine run with the Horned Frogs, who were perennially competitive if not dominant during his time in Fort Worth. The 6-foot-6 combo guard's play in his final two seasons netted him back-to-back All-Big 12 honors, second team as a junior and first team as a senior.
As a senior, Bane averaged 16.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.5 steals per game with 44.2% shooting from beyond the arc.
