Kevin Durant isn't picking his Brooklyn Nets to win it all this season.

In a recent appearance on ELITE Media Group's "Play For Keeps" podcast, Durant said he's picking the Los Angeles Clippers to beat the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2020 NBA Finals.

"If I had to choose - and I hate doing that shit because you never know what could happen, you seen that with us last year - but if I could choose, I would go Clippers-Bucks for the championship," he said. "And I'll go with the Clippers."

Durant cited the Clippers' depth in his decision, as well as star players Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

"They're just so deep. ... I feel like they haven't had their whole team together at once yet for a long period of time, and that talent is just undeniable," he said. "When you got PG and Kawhi at the wings - that's what you need to win is wings - you got those two at the wings, arguably top three, top four at the wing position on one team."

Even with Leonard and George in the fold, Durant's pick is a bold one: The Clippers have never reached the conference finals. This year's team has proven formidable thus far, however, ranking second behind the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference's regular-season standings.

Durant signed with Brooklyn last summer but has yet to play a game for the club as he recovers from a torn Achilles he suffered in the 2019 Finals. Though the season stoppage provided him an extra four months of recovery time, the 31-year-old confirmed in June he wouldn't participate in the league's restart in Orlando.
