Luka Doncic's 16th triple-double of the season owns a special place in the record books.

The Dallas Mavericks' sophomore star put up 34 points, 20 rebounds, and 12 assists in a 114-110 overtime win over the Sacramento Kings Tuesday, making him the youngest player in NBA history to record a triple-double consisting of at least 30 points and 20 rebounds, according to ESPN.

Doncic's performance is also just the fourth 30-point, 20-rebound, 10-assist game in the NBA since the league merged with the ABA ahead of the 1976-77 season, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

Coincidentally, Doncic is the second to reach the milestone in a game this season - Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic put up 30 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists versus the Utah Jazz in February. David Lee and DeMarcus Cousins are the only other players to accomplish the feat since the merger, courtesy of Stathead.

Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson is also part of the post-merger 30/20/10 club, but with 20 assists and 11 rebounds in a November 1988 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

With the win, the Mavericks move within two games back of the Oklahoma City Thunder for the sixth seed in the West. Sacramento, meanwhile, which infamously passed on drafting Doncic with the second pick in the 2018 draft, are now in 12th place in the conference and three-and-a-half games behind the eighth-seed Memphis Grizzlies.
